General Information:

The HOPE Race for Recovery is our annual major fundraiser. All money raised stays in Saskatchewan to bring hope to the individuals with cancer and their families and loved ones.

The 13th Annual Race for Recovery is presented by HOPE Cancer Help Centre Inc. and AREVA Resources Canada Inc. Participating in this event enables you to raise money, show your support for persons with cancer, have fun, and maybe even win an awesome prize!

When: 2 PM Sunday, October 5, 2008

Important Team Information
Teams must pre-register.
To accurately record team data the team captain must:

  • submit registration forms for each participant
  • ensure each participant has a signed waiver
  • bring their team pledges to one of the drop off sites prior to the event (see list below)
  • pick up draw slips, onthe day of the event, for each team participant who collects $250 or more in pledges .

Teams are invited to carray a team banner and wear team colours.

Participating in the Race for Recovery is as simple as picking up a registration package, collecting pledges, registering and then walking 2km or 5km or running 5km or 10km.

Registration/pledge forms can be picked up and submitted at HOPE Cancer Help Centre (300-506-25th Street E), Brainsport The Running Store (Broadway Avenue), or 14 Affinity Credit Union locations including:

Submit your completed registration and collected pledges prior to 3:00pm, Thursday October 2nd, 2008

Help out your community. Pick up a registration package, collect pledges, register and then walk 2km or 5km or run 5km or 10km.

Training program offered for new runners:

Run for Hope and Health

  • Free weekly training program (presented by BRAINSPORT and Hope Cancer Help Centre)
  • Training booklet available at Hope Cancer Help Centre Inc. and BRAINSPORT
  • Commences Aug. 26 at 6:30pm
  • Meet at BRAINSPORT-The Running Store
  • First 60 participants who register for the event and sign up for the training program will receive a FREE Brooke performance tech shirt. Participants must complete at least half of the program sessions to be eligible to receive a shirt.
